Epoxy ethane sterilizer is a kind of sterilizing equipment advanced, under certain conditions, by epoxy ethane
gas sealed in the sterilization chamber the articles in low-temperature fumigation for sterilization; ethylene
oxide can kill all kinds of microorganisms, including bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, fungi, bacillus and
virus. It is strong in penetration, broad-spectrum sterilization, sterilization is thorough, and
sterilization in lower temperature, pressure and humidity conditions, no corrosion on the sterilized articles and
without damage, convenient for long-term storage. After sterilization the articles are placed in a well
ventilated room, volatile well then for safety use.
2、ethylene oxide sterilization principle and nature
1 nature
Ethylene oxide is a gas at above 10.73 ℃, which is heavier than air, easily liquefied, the liquid is
colorless and transparent, structure formula is H2C – CH2= O. At 10 ℃ for 0.882
specific gravity, volatile when there is a smell of ether, can dissolve in water and organic solvents.
2 sterilization principle

power supply, displayer, printer), gas path system, the internal circulation system, heating circulation

5、the characteristics of the sterilizer
1 operation process by PLC+ industrial computer automatic control, built-in high precision sensor and
anti-interference system, circuit detection of temperature, relative humidity, pressure, and set the
value to start or stop the relevant equipment system.
2 set arbitrary collection of sterilization interval data, and print out the recorded all sterilization
information.
3 parameters can be set in advance, such as: sterilization time, vacuum pumping pressure, EO feeding
quantity, sterilization temperature, sterilization humidity, and the parameters can be saved, you can call
it for the next sterilization, no need to re set the parameters.
4 the equipment has the following alarm function: a) sensor fault alarm: when the sensor fails there is a
voice alarm, and a corresponding text; b) EO feeding quantity alarm: when the inlet charge quantity
reaches a preset value, there is a sound alarm, and a text prompt; c) the overpressure alarm: when
the pressure exceeds the set value of the sterilizing chamber , there is a sound alarm, and a text
prompt; d) ultra high temperature alarm: when the sterilization chamber temperature exceeds the ultra
high temperature alarm set value, there is a sound alarm, and a text prompt; E) open and close
door alarm: open or close door there is a voice alarm.
5 sealing door adopt the use of pneumatic control, sealed rubber bags used inner inflatable type, fully
expanded and the door body calm assurance seal with bag under certain pressure.
6 heating methods use hot water circulation, hexahedron heating, ensuring the sterilization chamber
temperature uniformity and temperature control accuracy.
7 insulation in the process when the water tank temperature is lower than the set temperature value,
automatically start the compensation temperature of heating system.

9 the equipment is provided with an air filtering device, after sterilization the replacement air with filtered
air input sterilizer chamber, to prevent external dust in the air into the sterilizing chamber.

from the liquid into a vapor state into the sterilizing chamber.
11 this equipment must be connected with exhaust gas treatment system for the processing of ethylene
oxide residue, avoid the pollution of the environment.

6、the performance
1 Set the temperature range: 30 ~ 70 ℃, the spatial temperature uniformity of no more than plus or minus

2 relative humidity setting range 30 ~ 80% RH, with humidifying function.

5 Vacuum seal test of sterilization chamber, vacuum degree of 0.09MPa, keep 60min, the change of the
vacuum degree is equal to or less than 0.005MPa, positive pressure sealing test of sterilization
chamber, pressure 0.12MPa keep 8h, the pressure drop is less than or equal to 0.005MPa.

2 the EO feeding quantity is generally 400 ~ 1200g/m3 (it is pure epoxy ethane input, if mixed
gas, ethylene oxide amount shall ensure that meet the requirements in charge);
3 sterilization time is generally 8 ~ 12h.
Note: the main factors that influence the germicidal efficacy of ethylene oxide is the temperature, relative
humidity, pressure, vacuum degree, EO feeding quantity, action time and the packing of the product, the
product structure, loading mode, initial contaminating bacteria content, and these factors are
interrelated, the user should make the sterilization process according to the performance of their
products. At the same time, purchase of epoxy ethane gas qualified (certificate of quality shall be provided
by the supplier for provide gas).
8、sterilizer operating guide
8.1、Sterilization software SOP
8.1.1、To Check EO is enough for sterilizing, water and power is available; turn on Nitrigon creating system,
water softening system and air compressing system.
8.1.2、Turn on the power of Sterilization control cabinet, turn the switch of the control cabinet to software mode,
unlock the key of the power, turn on UPS power, turn on IPC and screen power.

8.1.5 Operator log in: click LOGIN , user name: op01 , password:83870350, see below:
After running the whole sterilizing process, when cabinet pressure is about ±3KPA, door can be open or close.
When the light for close or open door is on, it means door seal does not has air or without enough air, door can
be moved up or down. When the light for showing the door closed properly is blinking, it means door is
closed properly but door seal is not filled with air yet, but it’s the time to feed in air to seal. When the light for
door closed properly is on, it means door is closed properly and seal is filled with enough air.
Opening door.
A、Open door: a. Turn the button to air-ejecting, Nitrogen would be blow into the cabinet from the door seal, 30
seconds( it can be modified) later after the ending of feeding air, the green light for preparing to open door is
on.
B、Turn the Up and down button of the door to up, door start to move up, when the door moved to the proper
position, then the door can be opened.
2)Closing door
A、Close door: a. Turn the up and down button of the door to down, door starts to move down, when the light
for showing the door is closed properly is on , it means the door is down to proper position.
B、Turn the button of feeding air to feeding, the door seal starts to be filled with Nitrogen. The light of opening
the door will be off. When the light for showing the door is closed properly is on, it means door seal is filled
with enough air. If the light for showing the door is closed properly is blinking, it means door is closed
properly, but air is not enough.
8.2、Function Instruction of sterilization software submenu
Sterilizing temperature: setting cabinet temperature, to sue T1 and T2 to check.
Water tank temperature1( high): to set cabinet water tank temperature 1, to use T5 to check.
Water tank temperature 2(low): to set cabinet water tank temperature2, to use T5 to check.
Water tank temperature switch-over deviation value: the water temperature change from temperature 1 to
temperature 2.
Example: sterilizer temperature is set to 50℃, water temperatrue2(low) is set to 52℃, water temperature
1(high) is set to 60℃, water temperature deviation value is set to 2℃.
when T1 ≥50-2=48℃, cabinet water temperature is water temperatrue2(low) 52℃.
When T1<50-2=48℃, cabinet water temperature is set to water temperature1(high) 60℃ automatically.
Purpose is to avoid sterilizer temperature drifting.
Heat preservation time: time of keeping cabinet temperature constant, in order to make sterilized
production have same temperature all over.
Vacuumizing pressure: to set the pressure for the vacuum pump, pressure unit: KPa, 1atm=101Kpa,
pressure value is decided by product packing material.
Vacuumizing step value: to set the changing pressure value △ Kpa for vacuum pump when it works
intermittently.
Vacuumizing interval time: to set time interval for vacuum pump from last work ending to next work
